Exploring the Deep Caves of Asturias - the story of the authors' exploration of the caverns of the Picos de Europa in the province of Asturias, Northern Spain. Along the way they negotiated vertical shafts and waterfalls, some deeper than the height of the Post Office Tower in London. Among their discoveries is the magnificent Sitema del Xitu, a vast network more than 1,000 metres deep whose complete exploration took six years. This is an adventure story in the old style, describing possibly the last field of true exploration left on earth.
