Suddenly in 1992 both Benny Hill and Frankie Howard died within a short time of each other. Both had began their careers by entertaining troops in WW2 and then had gone on to make a name for themselves by trudging round the music hall circuit. There fame and fortune was assured by the move to television where they attracted huge audiences by there own distinct brand of humour. Barry Took who knew them both, and wrote scripts for Howard, tells the bitter sweet story of their lives and illustrates their very special brands of humour.
